Wave All Your Fingers At Your Neighbor Day

Wave All Your Fingers At Your Neighbor Day is an actual day that is celebrated on February 7th.  This gives you the perfect opportunity to greet your neighbor with a wave and a big smile!  Make sure you use all 5 fingers, though, in order to show your respect for this day.  Whether your neighbor is a cranky old man, a new couple who just moved in, or even your best friend, pass on this friendliness with a good hearty wave.  While we're at it, let's not just wave to our neighbors, but also everyone we come into contact with during the day.   Spread good cheer around your community with your family and children, at least for one day, during this cold, snowy winter month!

Pianists, and typists, have an unfair advantage, as they have been practicing for this most of their lives.  There are things that YOU can do though to be on their level, and have fingers that will be ready to wave all day long.
  1. Start warming them up by bending them back slightly, and then moving them each around in a circular motion.
  2. Do finger stretches, by separating, and then bringing them back together.
  3. Stress balls are good for working your finger muscles and to  get good endurance.
  4. Do some thumb touches by touching each finger to your thumb.
  5. Crumple paper up into a ball.
  6. Do finger raises, similar to how you would do leg raises.  Lay your hand on a table and raise each finger as high as possible, one at a time.
As always, doing these exercises at your own pace, whilst drinking lots of water!!!

I hope everyone enjoyed this, and have a great day!
