Emojis and Crochet!
My daughter is almost 9 years old, going on to a 13 year old. I swear she's already acting like a tween. Besides her attitute, the fact that she loves sports, and that she's already developing her taste in music, she also gets caught up in the "it" thing, the current Fad if you will.
Right now she loves all things IU (Indiana University - since we live in the college town), Minions and Emoji's.
Emoji's
Everything emoji's. She has a backpack, pillows, stuffed animals, clothes, earrings and more. Ever since we got her an iPod for Christmas one year, she has loved Emojis.
She has been asking me to crochet an emoji for a while now, but I didn't want to just make a pillow, because there are so many out there that you can get pretty cheap. I've been thinking for a while what to make as an emoji and then finally, we saw that a new movie was coming out.
On July 28th, "The Emoji Movie" will be released. My daughter is so excited to watch it, because of her emoji love. While watching the preview with her, I finally decided on what I could make her.
An emoji doll!
So I went to work, crocheting, pulling it out, and crocheting some more. As all us designers do, I had to pull out my work many times, before I came up with a doll that I was proud of. Finally, I created the MEH Emoji doll, and with a few tweaks, I then created the HAPPY Emoji doll.
If you would like to purchase the patterns you can do so in my Ravelry Store.
**If you put both patterns in your cart, you will automatically get $3 taken off, so the second pattern is only $1.25!!
Or, You can purchase the dolls themselves in my SquareUp store!
