On my way to becoming a teacher again!
I did it!!!!!
I passed my Teacher exams!!
There were 2 exams, totaling about 5.5 hours of testing, and I passed them.
I have been studying for months, and cramming for weeks. I have put aside my crochet business, cleaning the house, doing projects that needed to be done, and whatever else I could, so that I could study. I was so nervous about taking the exams since it's been 10 years since I went to college to get my degree in Early Childhood Education.
I have been licensed to teach in Rhode Island and in Texas. Since you have to have a new license for each state, you also have to take tests for each of those licenses. I have been in Indiana for about 6 years now and just finally starting getting back on my career path. Now that we are done having babies, and my youngest is a year old, it was time to start thinking about going back to work.
So I studied, and then I studied some more.
And it all paid off. I don't know how well I did and what my actual scores are, but I got notification directly after that I passed.
Now I need to submit all my other requirements (cpr certification, suicide prevention certification etc), wait a few months, and hopefully then I can be officially licensed to teach in Indiana!
So, watch out kiddos....Mrs. G will be there soon!!!!
