Free Crochet Pattern for #1
I like to use the #1 on various items, especially hats! I figured out a nice pattern for this applique and would like to share it with you all.
Depending on how big or small you would like it, you can use different hook sizes. I use a G hook because I like the tighter look.
ch 10
Row 1: sc in 9 st across, ch1 and turn
Row 2-3: repeat row 1
Row 4: sl st in first 3 st, sl st and sc in next, sc in next 2 (leave last 3 alone), ch1 and turn
Row 5: sc in each st across
Row 6-10: repeat row 5
Now going down the side
Row 11: sc in first 4 st, ch 1 and turn
Row 12: sc in next 2 st, sc dec in next 2
Row 13: sc dec in first 2 st, sc
Row 14: sc dc
Sl stitch all the way around the number 1 and leave a long tail to sew on!
This is the Crochet hook and tool set my husband got me for Christmas a few years ago and I love it! It has 9 ergonomic hooks, stitch markers, scissors, crochet needle, measuring tape and some other useful items!
