Crocheted Freeze Pop Holder Pattern - FREE!

If you're kids are anything like mine, then they LOVE freeze pops.  And if you are anything like me, you LOVE them as well because they are the cheapest summer treats out there!

My children, including my 2 year old, all love these pops, and would eat them all day long in the summer.  I don't let them, because, yes, they do have sugar in them.  They are great though, on hot days, or after a long walk with the kids, to send them outside to have a pop.

The only problem, is that they go through so many paper towels, because they pops, are well, frozen, and too cold for their delicate hands to hold onto for that long!

Sooo..I've made up a pattern for some crocheted holders for said pops.  I know you can probably find other patterns out there, but I really just wanted a nice simple one that would be quick to work up, and, the best part, would use up some of my scrap yarn.

Here is my free pattern for these, or you can just buy them in my shop already made here (under miscellaneous).  Just make sure to put which colors you want.

Materials:
Yarn - I used regular acrylic worsted weighted yarn, just a small amount
Hook - G 4mm
Crochet needle to sew in the ends.

Do not join - just do continuous rounds.
Pattern:
Ch 6
Round 1:  sc in first 4 st, 3 sc in last stitch, turn and sc in next 3, 2sc in last stitch (same as where you did your first sc in round) (12 st)
Rounds 2 - 23: sc in each st around
sl st in next two stitches, and tie off the ends.

They will end up being about 5.5" long.  If you want them longer or shorter, just add, or takeaway, some of the repeat rows.
