9 Awesome Back to School Items!!

Where I grew up, we didn't go back to school until AFTER Labor Day.  Now, living in a different state, my children go back to school in beginning of August.  That's crazy right?  I feel like it's still summer until at least the end of September.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm am definitely ready for school to start, but I just feel bad for the kids because it's still hot out, and perfect weather for playing outside!  The kids do get out of school in the end of May, though, so they are still at least getting 2 and half months off.  I feel like when I was a kid though, summer lasted so much longer.  I guess as a parent, days just go by a lot faster because we have so many more worries.

Anyways, one of those worries that us parents have, is making sure our kids have everything they need for their new school year.  I love supporting other artists, so i'm going show you a fun list from artists on Etsy.  These are not necessarily necessities, but they are fun and cute nonetheless!

Cot Mats with Pillow!
As a previous daycare teacher, I know how uncomfortable those mats are that the kids sleep on.  These are perfect to make it cozier and fun at the same time!  I love how they come with a pillow, and that they can be personalized as well!

Personalized Matching Backpak Set
While these sets are mainly for the younger crowd I think they are still super cute!  There are so many options that your little one is bound to find a design that he likes!

First Day Sign
These are becoming more and more popular lately.  Every August/September my FB feed is flooded with a variety of this idea and I think it is super cute.  I love this one because it's a chalkboard that can be changed out each year so you can see how they grown with their ambitions!

Because kids lose everything, these are perfect.  Not only can they keep all their pencils, crayons, scissors and more all in one spot, they are also personalized so there is no questions whose it is.

Teacher Wine Glasses
My husband and I joke that we need to bring a peace offering to our middle child's teacher on the first day of school.  A peace offering, in the form of wine that is!!! LOL, in all reality we know she'll do great.  Our middle child has the same teacher that our oldest had and she works wonders!  This is a fun gift to give teachers, because they are just like us, except even more stressed because they have 20 some kids to deal with!!!

Art Display/Holder
This is perfect for holding the most recent art work.  I love it because there are only 4 spots.  It will eliminate your child being upset because you're taking something down.  If there's only 4 spots to start with, your child will be happy just being able to put a new project up, that she will forget about the others (hopefully!)

First Day of School Shirt
These remind me of the chalkboard signs as well.  They are so cute and great for any age. The seller on Etsy sells them for boys/girls and for different grades.

How perfect are these?  I don't know how many stupid plastic ziplock bags I go through in a school year.  With these, you just have to wipe them out every night, and then reuse the next day!  There are so many patterns to chose from, that theres no doubt your child will find something they like!

Most teachers allow students to bring water bottles in the classroom, mainly because it limits them asking 20 times a day to go get a drink from the fountain.  These are super cute because your child can pick the color, AND have in personalized too!
