Crochet Newborn Outfits

My daughter's school's biggest fundraiser every year is the annual Gala.  They get many people and companies to donate items for the parents to auction on at the end of the year.  All the money goes right back into the school.  This year I decided I would donate a basket of crocheted items for a newborn baby.  I want to include a newborn photo prop and decided on a turtle.  I figured it would be good for either a boy or a girl (with a flower that can be added if it is a girl).  Crochet newborn outfits are adorable in my opinion, and I have made a few before.  Here are the ones that I have made in the past.

Cabled Baby Blankets

A batman set that includes a hat with batman ears, cape, and diaper cover.

A Raggedy Anne set with hat, diaper cover and leggings.

A cowboy set with hat, boots and diaper cover.

A bunny set with a floppy eared hat and bushy tailed diaper cover.

An old fashioned newsboy set with a newsboy hat, loafers and diaper cover.

A mermaid set with tail, headband and chest piece.

And finally, the turtle shell set with an added hat.  I still need to make a flower that can be added to it in order for it to be appropriate for both genders.

I love making all these newborn sets for photo props.  The babies will never be this small again so it's a great opportunity to get pictures of them looking so adorable!
